AIP Industrial Physics Forums
The Industrial Physics Forum (IPF) brings together
research managers and decision makers from industry,
academia, and government, who seek to keep abreast
of research and policy issues affecting the physical
sciences community.
Organized by the Corporate
Associates of the American Institute of Physics (AIP),
the IPF features invited-speaker sessions that complement AIP Member Society meetings. Experts from across
the field discuss new applications of physics, product
developments, and other opportunities for science
in today’s economic environment.
The IPF offers
participants opportunities to learn about innovations
in the field, to interface with the people driving them,
and to strategize about directions for future economic and scientific progress.
2010: Applications of Laser Technology

In celebration of Laserfest 2010, the 52nd IPF is themed, "Applications of Laser Technology". It will be held in conjunction with the Frontiers in Optics 2010/Laser Science XXVI (FiO/LS), from October 25-26, in Rochester, NY. Three theme sessions range in topic from biomedical applications to environmental applications to metrology. A special Frontiers in Physics session addresses the most exciting physics research going on today, regardless of field. This special symposium is presented by the AIP and OSA Corporate Associates.
Register Now: Register for the IPF only or the entire FiO/LS meeting. Both options are available through the FiO/LS registration site.
